D2-AA state champs!

The Lady saints defeated GPS and Baylor this weekend in Murfreesboro to take the State title! The girls made history by being the first girls soccer team in Briarcrest history to become State Champs. Happy for this group of stellar players!
2015 DII-AA State Champions
(18-2-1)
365 days ago this trophy slipped away from their fingertips after 110 minutes of play including 80 minutes regulation time, two 10 minute overtime halves, two 5 minute golden goal halves, and a PK shootout that ended 7-6.
Today, the trophy comes home to the Crest!
During the semi-final game against GPS, the girls overcame a repeat from last year as a regulation tie game went into OT and ended in a PK shootout.  AD Streetman saved two of the goals using not only her hands, but also her fierce mental game with the shooters.  Saints walked away with the advancement to the finals!
